The material in the SPECIAL FILES is arranged alphabetically by category. Material not previously mentioned includes an autograph book from Brewer's student days, degrees, engravings of German scenery, membership certificates, and Brewer's passport.

These boxes contain notes on a variety of subjects written on 3 x 5 cards.

The following is an inventory of the materials which were too large to fit in the regular manuscript boxes and were therefore placed in a folio. Each item is also listed elsewhere in the Register, in its appropriate series and box, accompanied by its corresponding Folio number.

The Berzelius Society Archives (box 72) consists mostly of manuscript material used by Henry Brewer, son of William Henry Brewer, in compiling a history of the society in 1934. There is little material that was actually created by the society itself. This historical material appears under section "3", letters c-e.
