Start Over Collection Willbur Fisk Papers, 1812 - 1883

Report of the committee (Laban Clark, chairman; Willbur Fisk Secretary) appointed by the New York & New England Annual Conferences to take into consideration the establishment of a college or University.... New Haven, 3 December 1829

The committee mentions offers from Bridgeport, Wilbraham, and Middletown, and recommends Middletown for the site of the new institution to be established and the report also outlines plans for the financing and administration of the college. Letter to "Dear Brother" (Laban Clark?) appended at end, signed "W. Fisk." All in the handwriting of Willbur Fisk.
