Articles in English before 1964 (Folder 300) and after 1964 (Folders 301-302) are mostly drawn from American and British periodicals and are not all favorably disposed toward the composer. Articles from the Hindemith Jarhbücher (Folders 303-306) were selected and translated by Luther Noss. Sometimes an entire volume appears in translation; other times only one or two articles are translated. Other excerpts from the Jahrbücher may be found under Series VII - Biographical Materials (see especially Folder 326) and elsewhere in this register.
