Malawista presented "Lyme Disease: Infectious in Origin, Rheumatic in Expression."

Malawista was invited to be the dinner speaker. His talk was "What Lyme Disease Has Taught Us About Chronic Arthritis."

Allen C. Steere and Stephen E. Malawista were jointly awarded this prize in 1986. Folder contains a brief note from the New Haven Register and large format photographs taken at the award ceremony.

Malawista explained in a note to Gerald Klatskin at Yale in 1964 that he was an organizer of the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical History Society and had presented this historical talk in 1957.
