These are annual reports of the Section of Rheumatology to the Department of Internal Medicine. For most of these reports, Malawista was serving as chief of the section. Early reports contain names of faculty, clinical staff, postdoctoral fellows, promotions, forthcoming appointments, terminations, current educational program, research in progress, and publications. Later reports became increasingly more elaborate and included clinical activity, program grants, educational activities, community activities, goals, and individual reports of each faculty member. The section grew under Malawista's leadership.
