Typed proposal and outline of project for residency at W. A. I. T. , perfect bound into stiff covers with paste-on photocopies of covers from a Schott & Co. edition of Percy Grainger's 'Country Gardens', 'SC November 1st 79'. Stapled photocopies of contents of above item, accompanied by letter to Don Prince at W. A. I. T. , and a formal letter of application. Typed manuscript for project proposal /outline, with revisions by hand. Ditto, handwritten manuscript on yellow pages from notepad. Earlier one-page proposal for stay at W. A. I. T. as Artist in Residence, dated July 2nd 79. Note in red pen attached 'write with more particular proposals, Grainger research, practical project (underlined) (on Coracle Press card, '5 new exhibitions 1979/80'). Book (without title, author not given) in envelope marked 'for Simon', 'he who holds that nothingness is formless', broken seal on flap, Chinese characters and images, mirror foil forming one image. Book in brown covers, no title, inside front cover: 'No.2 Chris Malcolm', appearance of Kodak photo album, but with 'photos' in their corners turned face down to reveal the captions (of family snapshots) on back.
