The series consists of electronic files documenting Ronald Dworkin's writings and other activities. Files were extracted from two laptops, two external hard drives, five CDs and DVDs, five Zip disks, two digital storage mini tapes, 175 3.5" floppy disks, and three 5.25" floppy disks.
The series includes schedules, notes, correspondence, and other materials related to conferences, lectures, trips, and other events attended or organized by Dworkin.
The series primarily contains Dworkin's professional correspondence. Correspondence with prominent individuals and organizations in academia and law are filed in individual folders, as are those of correspondents with whom Dworkin exchanged three or more letters. Groupings of correspondence on a specific topic have been retained. All other correspondence is arranged in general folders at the beginning of each letter of the alphabet. Additional correspondence can be found in other series, particularly the Numerical Files and Writings series. Some early Dworkin family correspondence is filed in the Personal Files series.
The series contains course materials from Dworkin's teaching career, including course readings, lecture notes, correspondence, syllabi, and other materials. Other course reading materials can be found in the Writings series.
