The material in the December 2022 acurral was found in the 7th floor stacks of the Bridgeport Public Library, housed in the original box that the advertising department maintained. Each folder here represents the contents of a cardboard hanger with a large envelope attached that served as the filing system for material generated by the advertising department. All labels are as they were recorded on the hanging files, and they are in original order. The labels and organization suggest that this was how all material was treated by the department, and that some context and labels were lost over the years.
