The series contains Philip Rose's production files for theatre productions. While files for some shows contain only a few items, files for more richly documented productions include legal and financial documentation, scripts, scores, set design drawings, photographs, casting notes, lists of personnel, correspondence, printed material including playbills and reviews, and documentation concerning film adaptations.
