Letters to the Secretary of War. The
first, dated 1803 Jun 29, urges that
the government strengthen popular
support for war against Napoleon by
issuing an "address to the people"
describing French brutality against
conquered enemies and by having it "read from the pulpit". The
second, dated 1803 Jul 14, concerns
corrections for a publication by
Cobbett. The third, dated 1804 May
14, informs Yorke that he will
be subpoenaed in Cobbett's trial
for libel.
