This collection consists entirely of letters written to Torrey and, with the exception of a folder of photo copies of letters from Torrey to the Rev. Lewis D. Schweinitz, all of the letters are addressed to Torrey. Most of the letters are concerned with the subject of botany. Correspondence is arranged alphabetically by name of the author of the letter.
