Edmund Randolph Peaslee graduated from Dartmouth College in 1836 and from the Medical Institution of Yale College in 1840. This series of letters were written during the end of his studies at Dartmouth through his time as a medical student at Yale. Kinne graduated from Dartmouth College in 1837 and was a roommate of Peaslee. He obtained his M.D. from Dartmouth in 1840. The letters were donated by Genevieve K. Bartlett, widow of Dr. Charles J. Bartlett, of New Haven.
