Series II contains the family and general correspondence of Mary Barnard, spanning 1909 to 2001. It contains primarily incoming correspondence, with a small amount of outgoing correspondence, both copies and originals. Principal correspondents include Marianne Moore, Winifred Overhoser, Dorothy Pound, Ezra Pound, and William Carlos Williams. In addition to letters, postcards, and other correspondence to and from Mary Barnard are a small amount of clippings and printed material, scattered writings by Barnard and others, genealogical research materials, and personal papers.
