Series I consists of the personal and professional correspondence of Keith Botsford spanning the years 1941 to 1969. While correspondence is chiefly incoming, some files include retained copies of outgoing letters. The correspondence documents Botsford's writing and editing projects (including the early years of his collaboration with Saul Bellow), his activities with International PEN, the Congress for Cultural Freedom, and other organizations, and events that Botsford attended.
