This accession consists of files of Jay Kriegel, Assistant to the Mayor on law enforcement, social welfare, and federal government relations; Executive Director of Policy and Planning Council and Criminal Justice Coordinating Council; Civilian Review Board project; and Special Counsel to the Mayor.

The materials in this accession were donated in 2014 by Mrs. Anne Phipps Sidamon-Eristoff, widow of Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff. Highly active in civic affairs and conservative political organizations, Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff became Congressman Lindsay's executive assistant in New York in March 1965, continued on as Lindsay's assistant during his subsequent mayoral run and administration, and was appointed by Lindsay as Commissioner of Highways in 1967 and Transportation Administrator in 1968.
