Ira Hiscock served as a trustee of the Yale-in-China Association from 1959 to 1972. Most of the material in the folder dates from 1971-1972. Contents include minutes, drafts of speeches, some correspondence, photographs of Hiscock's visit(s) to China, and reports on the new health services of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Hiscock served as Chairman of Advisory Health Committee of Yale-in-China in 1972. Of interest is Hiscock's "confidential' draft, June 18, 1959, on trying to restart Yale-in-China after the Communist takeover by working with the New Asia College, which eventually became part of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
