This addition to the Henry E. Sigerist Papers was received from the Yale Medical Historical Library in January 1981. The papers were. collected by Sigerist's friend and supporter, John Farquhar Fulton, who was Sterling Professor of Physiology and of the History of Medicine at Yale. They include an extensive run of correspondence between Fulton and Sigerist, Fulton's correspondence with others concerning Sigerist, drafts and reprints of Sigerist's writings, and miscellaneous personal material regarding Sigerist.

This addition to the papers is composed of ten albums containing photographs, correspondence, concert and theater programs, postcards, and other memorabilia. These materials, which are arranged in chronological order, document Sigerist's years at Casa Serena in Pura, Switzerland. The albums include materials from numerous family events, travels, and visits with friends and colleagues. Sigerist mounted materials for the albums and wrote captions on each page.
