This series includes those materials which Darling chose to keep from his files as executive director of the ABCC. They are not official records, nor are they in any sense comprehensive. Darling's tenure in Japan is well-documented in the published annual reports, newsletters, and other publications of the ABCC, which are available in the Yale University Cushing/Whitney Medical Library. These should be used as primary sources before attempting to locate information in the scantier files available in this series.
