This series comprises professional and correspondence sent to and from Bormann. The series has been subdivided into three sections: general, individuals and organizations, and topical. General correspondence is made up of individuals that Bormann did not correspond with a significant amount and is mostly personal in nature. Individuals and organizations contains information about research in progress, travel arrangements for events, and writing projects. Topical contains correspondence related to specific projects and publications, advocacy Bormann participated in, letters to the editor, and academic recommendations. General correspondence is arranged chronologically while correspondence related to specific individuals and organizations and topics are arranged alphabetically.
