This series comprises various speeches and writings composed by Bormann. The majority of the speeches were given to scientific and professional organizations and are related to his research at Hubbard Brook or environmentalism and ecology in general. Other speeches include award acceptance speeches, commencement speeches, and special/keynote speeches given at lectures, seminars, and symposiums. Much of the writings in this series are on general ecology topics for popular magazines and newspapers. Other works include drafts and edits of his book Redesigning the American Lawn and other writings on freedom lawns, testimony before legislative bodies on different environmental concerns, and a small amount of academic papers, including those that had collaborating parties. Materials are arranged alphabetically.
