This addition consists of printed materials relating to the C. Vann Woodward Symposium which honored the Yale historian and marked the opening of the C. Vann Woodward Papers in Manuscripts and Archives. The symposium, co-sponsored by the Department of History, Yale University, and Manuscripts and Archives, Yale University Library, was held on October 1, 2004. Panelists included noted historians and former students of Woodward who focused on Woodward's role as a subject of biography and as mentor for other scholars of history.
