CORRESPONDENCE is divided into two sections. The first, "General Correspondence," is arranged alphabetically by name of the person with whom Newton was corresponding. The second, "Correspondence of Others," is arranged alphabetically by name of the more prominent of the two correspondents, although the name of the other correspondent also appears in the register and on the folder.
