This series includes a section from Kluger's book, "Sources and Acknowledgements," which calls attention to the relative importance of the different materials in the collection. It also provides the researcher with a list of interviewees; the date or dates on which they were interviewed and their relationship to the case; a research bibliography; a table of cases cited; and chapter notes to the book. The second section of the series contains "A Short History of Education in the United States" and A Long History of Negro Education, both by Phyllis Kluger. The final section of the series contains two folders of photocopied journal articles discussing legal, social and historic aspects of the segregation cases.
