The series contains transcripts of Arthur Liman's speeches, copies of his written work, and select correspondence regarding his autobiography. It is arranged alphabetically by sections. The majority of the series consists of drafts of Liman's autobiography, Lawyer: A Life of Counsel and Controversy, published in 1998. Most of the correspondence is between Ellen Liman and Peter Israel, who served as an assistant on the autobiography. The series also includes a movie script and outline Liman wrote about Iran-Contra. Audio and videocassette recordings of some of Liman's speeches are included in Series IV.
