This brochure, created by the African National Prison Organization Solidarity Committee (ANPO), identifies itself as a new organization created by the African People's Socialist Party, with the objective of eradicating imperialism, which they believe is the central enemy in the fight against oppression. The brochure notes statistics on the black population of the US vs. percentage of black people in the prison system, the use of the prison system to continue slavery post-civil war, and the various crimes caused by colonialism. Also included in the file is an informational card describing methods of supporting ANPO, a letter summarizing the brochure and asking for feedback, and a letter from the African People's Socialist Party explaining the motivation behind the creation of ANPO, calling on readers to join the cause.

This file consists of several documents published by the African People's Socialist Party. The first and longest document is a 1978 report of APSP activities and initiatives, such as demonstrations in support of imprisoned African Americans, conferences, and lectures. Notably, this document discusses the formation of the African National Prison Organization, an organization with publications in our file system. Other pieces include a flyer with information about how to support the cause of Dessie Woods, a black woman imprisoned for killing a man attempting to kill and rape her and a companion, an edition of their self-published newspaper "The Burning Spear" which discusses the failure of the black revolution and the rise of the "black petty bourgeousie," and finally an announcement of a speaking tour by Omalu Yeshitela, the chairman of the ASPS.

Africa Research Group was an organization aiming to bring light to American involvement in Africa, taking an anti-imperialist stance against them. Included in the file are several publications distributed by ARG. The first, titled "Southern Africa," documents and summarizes the human rights violation taking place under apartheid, as well as its ties to United States corporate and political interests. The second document discusses the role of the CIA in Africa, as well as domestically through clandestine funding of groups involved with black culture, in an attempt to push them away from radicalism, and potentially anti-American sentiments. The latter document appears twice in the file.

This file contains two separate documents related to the Agape foundation, a group dedicated to nonviolent social change. The first document is a brief letter dated October 1976, which announces the conclusion of organizational restructuring, and the construction of a northwest branch of the organization, as well as discussing the need for continued support via donation so that their projects and initiatives can be maintained. The second document is a newsletter dated September 1976 and titled "Ends & Means," which covers projects the foundation has donated to, news about the foundation's activities, and an in-detail look at the self-evaluation taken by the organization after the Vietnam War. The issue of the newsletter is Volume 1, No. 2. The Agape Foundation merged with the Peace Development Fund in 2010.

This booklet, published by the American Association of Retired People (AARP), covers how ageism appears in different scenarios across society, as well as how to ensure ageist language is not used. This is executed via providing examples of ageist language, and then providing alternatives to the statements. The latter half of the booklet contains a set of best practices in media, both print and audiovisual, with an aim of improving accessibility for older people, who may be hard of hearing or experience vision problems.

Ahimsa was an independent publication created by Students for Peace at Eastern Connecticut State College (now Eastern Connecticut State University). Over time, it spread to being distributed at UConn via their Students for Peace branch as well as Central Connecticut State University. The title is taken from the Sanskrit word for non-violence. Frequent topics include the nuclear arms race/nuclear disarmament, the draft and the Vietnam War, the military industrial complex, and US military activity. There are no stated editorial standards, and submissions are encouraged, so long as they advocate for peace. Content consists of opinion pieces, current events, poems, political cartoons, and public opinion interviews. Issues included are January 1986, Spring 1988, February 1985, April 1984, Fall 1983 (Vol. III No. I), May 1983 (Vol 2. No. V), April 1983 (Vol. 2 No. IV), November 1982 (Vol. 2 No. 3), October 1982 (Vol. 2 No.2), September 1 1982 (Vol. II No. I)*, April 29 1982 (Vol. I No. 4), March 31, 1982 (Vol. I No. 3), February 25, 1982 (Vol. I No. 2), and January 25, 1982 (First edition). This file is a community bulletin published by the American Indian Community House, a group based in New York City with a goal of assisting the American Indian community. Included within the bulletin is information on performing arts events, crafts workshops, and other community events. It also includes non-recreational content, such as national and international news relevant to Indigenous Americans, sections on physical health through the lens of substance abuse, cholesterol, and AIDS, and programs for employment and legal assistance. This is the late Summer/Early Fall Issue from 1992, Volume VII No. XII.

The A is A newsletter is a periodical publication that covers libertarian topics, typically through a philosophical lens, with frequent references to classic philosophers like Aristotle, as well as modern Objectivists like Ayn Rand. It also catalogues other written works with libertarian viewpoints, such as independent periodicals and long-form books. Smaller sections are dedicated to news and advertisement of organizations/meetings. The 1987 annual report of the A.J. Muste Memorial Institute, whose Chair at the time was George Willoughby. The Institute committed to nonviolent alternatives to militarization and its primary goals were disarmament, economic and social justice. The document includes a biography of A.J. Muste, the Institute's financial reports, guidelines to apply for the Institute's grants as well as recipients of the grants and sponsorships. Other institutions that benefitted from the Institute's support were the Muste Memorial Library and The Peace Pentagon. The last pages of the document contain a letter to the Institute's supporters that dates to 1989, written by Executive Director, Murray Roseblith.
