The papers consist of approximately 500 letters written by Lester Bradner to his future wife Edith Mitchell Murray of Flushing, New York. During their courtship Bradner spent two years (1891-1893) studying at the University of Berlin, after taking a Ph.D. at Yale University in 1889. His letters describe his life both in New York and Berlin, as well as his summer travels in Europe and the United States. He also discusses his religious beliefs and the ministry.

Collection of letters from notable clients sent to the London interior decoration firm Miles & Edwards and its successor, Charles Hindley & Sons, from 1832 to 1875.

Eleven letters between Ramon Llado, a Republican soldier in the Spanish Civil War, and his family. Seven letters are from Ramon to his wife, Concepcion. Three letters are from Concepcion to Ramon, and one letter is to Ramon from his sister, Dionisia, and his brother-in-law.

Malcolm Bowers, M.D. was the founding chief of the Research Unit at the Connecticut Mental Health Center, Chief of Psychiatry at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and was affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry for more than forty years. His early research included a series of groundbreaking studies on hallucinogenic drug exposure and the emergence of psychotic disorders. Later research included an extensive series of studies on the role of monoamines in psychosis and affective disorders which advanced the understanding of the pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders and neuropharmacology of psychotropic drugs. The collection includes reprints and copies of his published journal articles.

The collection consists of thirty-seven autograph letters, signed, written by William Holman Hunt to friends and acquaintances including Walter Crane, Sir Fred A. Eaton, and Sir William Watson. The bulk of the letters are to British artist, illustrator and designer Frederic James Shields; also present are four graphite sketches by Shields of Hunt at work at his easel.
