This series consists of material pertaining to the work of Yale's observatory, which was called the Winchester Observatory until 1920; reference materials; maps and photographs of the moon including those taken by NASA's Lunar Orbiters in the 1960s; and star charts produced by the Bonner Durchmusterung and Cordoba Durchmusterung projects in the late nineteenth through early twentieth century.

This series consists of bound manuscript astronomical parallaxes. A parallax is an apparent displacement or difference in the position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight.
