Abstract
A summary of the resource.
Interview with Dr. Casale who served as a doctor in the European theater towards the end of World War II. He was drafted in 1941 into the Army. At Cornell College in 1941. Sent to Fort Upton in New York - all pre-med soldiers were allowed to enroll in med school (ASTP - Army Service Training Program). 3 Years as PFCs and graduated as medical officers. 6-weeks training of military medicine in San Antonio, TX. Sent to Germany and spent a year there and then Romania after the end of the War.
