Wood, paint and plaster; 15 x 10"

Abstract

Funerary painting likely removed from a sarcophagus within the last century. Comparable masks date from c. 500 BC -
100 AD. This likely is from the latter half of that range. There are some cracks in the plaster and paint due to age, most notably near the right eye.
