Abstract

The editor,Frank Moore (1828–1904), was an American journalist and compiler, a brother of George Henry Moore, an American historical writer and librarian of the New York Historical Society. He was born in Concord, New Hampshire, but removed to New York City and became a journalist and general writer. In 1869-72 he was Assistant Secretary of Legation in Paris. He edited numerous works about the American Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
