Abstract

The Fund For Ministers was established in 1863 by the General Association of Congregational Churches in Connecticut as the first organized fund for the benefit of the families of deceased clergymen of the Congregational Churches of Connecticut.

This volume, published in 1878, presented the background and history of the Fund and was used as an appeal to the member churches for support.

The Fund exists today as a provider of pension benefit and health care cost support for retired Congregationalist clergy in Connecticut.  See:
