This is the 1955 release of the Verdi Opera, Un ballo in maschera (a masked ball) which starred Marian Anderson, Jan Peerce, Leonard Warren, Roberta Peters and Dimitri Mitropoulos. It was the first time an African-Amerian appeared on the Met stage.
